Clotting disorders and pulmonary embolus (a blood clot in the lungs)
Weight loss
Anemia
Hoarseness
Weakness and malaise
Abdominal pain and swelling due to a buildup of fluid in the abdomen
Bowel obstruction
Nausea
Sometimes a patient will have no symptoms at all. The early symptoms of mesothelioma are generally non-specific. The symptoms are similar to those of viral pneumonia and other chest and abdominal diseases.
